Activity 1: Outline some of the future effects of the climate change.
Due to Bangladesh being poor and having a high density population, there are many factors and attributes of disaster. Flash floods, droughts, season changes, saline increase, sea level rise and lack of crops deters the country. Because of being poor, the country doesn’t have enough money to repair devastated buildings or even build and means of defence against natural storms. Low lying land is a disadvantage when it comes to flooding.
It is predicted that there will be an increase in average temperature from 1990 to 2030 of 1.3 degrees celsius. There will also be a further increase in average temperature from 2030 to 2075 of 2.6 degrees celsius. Average precipitation is also expected to increase of 10mm per month. The above is because Bangladesh has a dense population and is a very poor country.
Climate change can cause more extreme climates like more droughts, rains and other natural phenomena. This can effect farmland destroying the lives of many people and communities and could even bring down an economy, it could also destroy houses and other buildings. Temperatures could rise and even small rises from 1-3 degrees this can have a strong effect on the coral causing the bacteria and other small organisms on them to die, leaving only their white inside and if it does not recover fast enough the coral could die permanently.
